Sim City 4 Rocky Mountains

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

This is a sim city 4 video that shows the town called ‘Rocky Mountains’ that I created. I used jr’s street mod to get the trees on the streets. I downloaded some plugins to create the limestone rock and snow covered mountain tops. In addtion I used some mods to help create the dense woodland in my video. I also downloaded various new residential houses for my town. These plugins do not alter the game…they just create new buildings and features. As always I used NAM to correct transit issues. I downloaded most of the material from the sim city 4 devotion website, however I used simtropolis to get some of the downloads too. The music is ‘(There’ll be)Peace in the Valley’ by Johnny Cash off his live at San Quentin album.

Abandoned Pennsylvania Railroad 1907 Route West Penn Bike Trail Blairsville PA

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Also Check out www.stuffthatsgone.com The 1907 Alignment of the Pennsylvania Railroad running through Indiana and Westmoreland Counties featured 4 beautiful stone arch bridges prior to going through a tunnel. In 1950 the Conemaugh dam was constructed to hold back flood waters that buried Pittsburgh in 1936. As a result this alignment had to be raised and moved to the south. The West Penn Bike trail was constructed a few years ago and when the flood waters are not over the top of the bridges you can enjoy a short but very visual ride. With the missing link bridge being finished later this year this trail will be able to travel for several more miles east. This section can be accessed from several points of US 22 East.
