@chrismdionne7 Sand Cyn. Rd. Make a left off of the freeway and a left at the first light which will be Sand Cyn. drive all the way up Sand Cyn. until you reach the Bear Divide cutoff. Continue driving all the way up that road until you reach the fire station at the top. Park outside the station and ride? through to a fire road labeled 3N17. Ride down that until you reach the bathrooms. The trail is on the right.

No sorry man. Things kinda feel through on us. We are trying to get out every weekend though so I’ll keep in touch. Is email a better way to keep in touch?

  7. chrismdionne7 says:

    @CrzyScottsman Are you going tomorrow

  8. chrismdionne7 says:

    So whats up for tomorrow?

  9. CrzyScottsman says:

Yeah man that should be fine. Me and my buddy ride more DH style rigs but that’s cuz it’s all we got. Haha. It’s not a really technical trail really so you should be fine. How much travel do you have? And I’ll keep in touch about Sunday. Its would be in the late afternoon if we were to go. Is it easier to reach you via email?

I just have a 2010 Gary Fisher Wahoo disc is that enough bike for the job?

  11. chrismdionne7 says:

My name is Chris by the way and if you are serious about going I would like to join to get familiar with the trail and meet some cool guys that have MTBing in common with… let me know bro

  12. chrismdionne7 says:

Well like I said I live in Lancaster, so its like a 25 minute drive to get to sand caynon, but Sunday works great for me if your down… I just started riding again in January and the last time I road before that I was like 10 years ago. But the video looks pretty much like downhill and not too much climbing…lol

  13. CrzyScottsman says:

Me and a buddy might be riding there this weekend. Prolly on Sunday. I live 10 mins from there so it’s pretty close. Haha

  14. chrismdionne7 says:

Thanks man… If you are ever in that area again and you want to ride, let me know. Its always good to have someone who knows where to go!

  15. CrzyScottsman says:

Yeah. If you’re coming from Lancaster you want to go South on the 14 and get off at the exit for Sand Cyn. Rd. Make a left off of the freeway and a left at the first light which will be Sand Cyn. drive all the way up Sand Cyn. until you reach the Bear Divide cutoff. Continue driving all the way up that road until you reach the fire station at the top. Park outside the station and ride through to a fire road labeled 3N17. Ride down that until you reach the bathrooms. The trail is on the right.

  16. chrismdionne7 says:

Is this off of Sand Cyn Rd?

  17. chrismdionne7 says:

How can I get there from Lancaster… Is it off of Sand Canyon Rd?

  18. CrzyScottsman says:

Haha yeah i just lost it on the corner. There isn’t a berm so it’s a bit loose. LOL

Just rode this today and the upper part through the trees was firm dirt, liked it. Last time it was like sand. It was alot more eaten up in a way, very bumpy trail but still fun. The climb is soo dam hard, took me a dam hour, lol.

  21. mistercreek says:

They recently smoothed the upper part of the trail out a bit leaving it so soft it’s hard to ride on, THEN the rains came and riveted the crap out of it, so beware. It’s become quite a technical descent.

Best way to get to the trailhead is up the front of the mnt, starting at the end of Newhall Ave and Sierra Hwy/14. Brutal, but a pretty quick 3.5ish mile climb – maybe 1800 feet.

  22. CrzyScottsman says:

Its off of a fire road that is past the Bear Divide fire station. Its kinda hard to get too, but it spits you out at Placerita Cyn.

  23. snowboarderforlife01 says:

where is the trail head for this?

  24. CrzyScottsman says:

Nice! Let me know how u like it. Me and my friends normally shuttle the trail instead of riding up it. Let me know if u ever want to go riding with us some day.

hopefully gonna do this trail for the first time today!
