John Wayne: Riding the Trail / Riding the Range

  1. Riders of Destiny I saw about seven times over a period of 30 years. I love him, even if the plot, dialogue, acting, fighting, etc., very big. This was the first westerns of John Wayne Lone Star, made a series of films for about $ 10,000. But he has a certain charm, I can not explain. Yakima Canutt has cascades of Nice, Cecilia Parker is pretty like Toby Wing, in my opinion (Toby was young “and healthy” girl of the 42nd Street). The DVD released by Columbia Tri-Star, was born RIDERS clearest expression of fate, as I recall – a very clear picture in many places. Unfortunately, it lacks at least 5 1 / 2 minutes of the film, including a critical point of the plot. Farmers say they will sign a new agreement for water rights with the country of evil Baron if he wishes, agree to an additional clause. This version would jump at the scene where they say what is the clause, and if the wicked extreme concern towards the end of the film is not sufficiently explained. Perhaps to compensate for the missing scenes, a band of pseudo-symphony is open to different points, like a giant thumb turn evil. I think in future I will continue to see the Good Times DVD (2000) for this film, his piece is full, even if the image is blurred. The only movie I’ve seen on this DVD is the harsh law with Tim McCoy (and a small part of John Wayne). I only saw once harsh law, so I’m not sure if something is missing. As a film, I found it as funny as the movies with John Wayne. The print was in fairly good condition. When I am around watching other movies on this DVD two-pack I get more information about print quality and post omissions if I can find. Currently, I give this series 2 out of 5. Rating: 5.2
