This is the full footage from a recent TV show filmed with Gravity Assisted Mountain Biking on the World’s Most Dangerous Road (also known as the Death Road) and shown on television in New Zealand. The show gives a great idea of the ride, the road, the legend and the drama. Enjoy!
I did this in ’08. Wow!! What a great time and great story to tell!!!
fevereiro estarei lá!!! hehehehe!!!
If I went all the way to Bolivia to ride down a road on my mountain bike. And when I got there this guy was telling me how to ride a bike. I would leave. I would drive to the cocaine producers pack my car with it drive back through arizona where there are no borders and make some friggin money. So you see too much mothering can lead to criminal activity.
bwaaaa haaaa dude that is awesome, ya haven’t lived until you have rode a bus or train in a third world country, And then sometimes not for much longer lol.
great story dude.
know what you mean. i did this back in 2005 and while it was good fun (65km downhilll…) and id definately recommend it if you’re nearby, id have to say it was reasonably tame if you ride a lot but probably quite scary if you dont ride. what really got me scared wasn’t riding down the road but driving back up the “road of death” at night after a few beers in the back of a speeding dodgy old bus with lights which kept turning off – i properly shit myself then! its the buses that crash not bikes!
I highly doubt that. Martins Road is what – 5km long and drops maybe 100m? Death Road (including the paved part) is 50+km long and drops 3,700m. Oh and it has cliffsides that swallow the CN Tower.
whats the big deal about a mountain bike going down a road that semi trucks go down?
mgrelecki, can you be specific on where to start in on Martins? I’m nearby and would love to try it out
surely you know that God liked mountain biking! It;s in the bible, just after the part where he smears jam on his balls and gets a dog to lick it off
aegisgfx, you’ve got problems mate! worshiping jesus??? Maybe you should get a life.
obvious troll is obvious
These people should stop wasting their lives and get back to god and worshiping jesus
Martins Side Road in Ancaster Ontario Canada is like this!!!!
