14th Annual Barking Spider Bash [Saturday, April 11]
The 2009 Spider race features a fun, easy, 9.7 mile course with rolling terrain and terrific spectator viewing. The course
includes the imfamous "Skateboard Park" descent, a twisting, turning tunnel of thrills.
Location - Hemmingway Butte ORV
Area, 25 miles southwest of Nampa, Idaho, off Hwy 45, (Reynolds Creek Rd.)
FREE, dry camping on-site. We encourge folks to camp in free and dry locations around the race course. Come celebrate the PREMIERE spring opener for Idaho XC Mountain biking.
EXPO opens at 9am.Medical service provided by OWYHEE Volunteer Search and Rescue.
START TIMES:
Trail runners (1 lap) at 9am
Beginners (1 lap) and Trailblazers (1/4 lap) - 12:40 pm
Sports (2 laps) - 12:35pm
Experts (3 laps) - 12:30pm
Pros (3 laps) - 12:29pm
Kids under 10 race (free) - 3:15pm.
Special note to single-speeders: you will be racing for 3 laps with the PRO/experts. If you cant hang for 30 miles, sign up for your age group in Sport or Beginner.
AWARDS and PRIZE give-away to follow.
We'll be serving New Belgium beverages, after the race is over.

2008 Wild Rockies Barking Spider Results
These are detailed directions to the Spider:
Take 2nd Nampa exit (whether coming from east or west)
Go south over freeway to Garriety, turn right
go under railroad tracks, then turn left,
and then right on 12th Avenue South.
Follow SIGNS toward Murphy & Melba out past hospital,
15 miles after leaving Nampa the road will drop down
to the Snake River, where you will cross over the bridge
BEARING to the left at the "Y" towards Murphy
3/4 of a mile after crossing river, turn right on
Reynolds Creek Road - go 1.5 miles (keep driving thru stinky Dairy Farm)
and event is on the right-hand-side at the Hemmingway ORV area.
