17th Annual Brundage Mountain Bike Festival XC
[Saturday, July 12]
Saturday’s race is a 10.5-mile loop. The current course is legendary for both its climbs and its descents. The last 4.5 miles of the loop is all downhill on the spectacular Elk Trail.
If you take a look at the start times, we are following the tradition of Idaho City and The Banzai by starting "Le Mans". That means mass start all catagories, running uphill to your bike. We are working on some alternative sections of single-track to add to the exciting format we have planned this year.
After the XC, we are trying a new event at the resort, the Bomberman Super D! Come sign-up, then ride up the chairlift and be ready to rip by 1pm. This event highlights the rider with great bike handling skills. We are awarding points in your respective catagories for XC and downhill. Don't miss an opportunity to score valuable series points. There will be one Beginner, Sport, Expert, Pro catagory winner for male and female. Otherwise, there is points for the top ten in each class.
A map of the course is available on our photos page.Click Here.
Camping is available at the resort!! There are hotsprings nearby and places to eat within minutes. Please bring everything you need to camp...especially marshmallows for the Smores you will make and then share with the staff. Hope to see you there. If you are not downhilling on Sunday, check out Goose Creek Falls trail near the resort. Ride as a vehicle shuttle or full loop on the bike.
