Great scenery from ”Planet Earth” series, episode ”Mountains”. There were questions, which mountains are shown in the footage, so here they are (not necesarily in order): – The Andes, world’s longest continental mountain range. It’s a continual range of highlands along the western coast of South America (that is Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela). – Erta Ale, the longest continually erupting volcano in Ethiopia. – The Alps, one of the great mountain range systems of Europe, stretching from Austria and Slovenia in the east; through Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany; to France in the west. – The Rocky Mountains, a major mountain range in western North America, that stretch more than 3000 miles (4830 km) from the northernmost part of British Columbia, in western Canada, to New Mexico, in the southwestern United States. – Himalayas, a mountain range in Asia, separating the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. Together, the Himalayan mountain system is the planet’s highest, and home to the world’s highest peaks, the Eight-thousanders, which include Mount Everest and K2 (as seen in the footage). – Baltoro (in Pakistan), the Earth’s biggest mountain glacier, which is 70 kilometres long and visible from space. Quality of the video: 1080p HD (H.264 AVC).
veeeeery nice pictures on my 23″ FullHD
If some alien race comes one day to destroy the world and all species on it. . . im sure that we would give our lives fighting and defending our planet. . . so why aren’t we protecting it from now???
@seandeena

@tommypk86
Planet Earth was shot with over 200 cameras, so it should be stated that not all of these cameras are created equal. Some shots were shot on SD cameras, not HD, but majority of shots do consist of HD footage though. I believe they used Panasonic Varicam (land based) with variable frame rate, for more you’ll have to google it.
@Nik123dj What camera was used?
~ great vid I love this !!!!! ~
Music doesn’t do this great footage justice, please swap

@Nik123dj
I see. nice selection. Thanks a lot.
Breath taking!
This is my first video on my 27″ iMac! WOAH quality. Although, it did take HALF AN HOUR to load. Hmm.
@EnjoyHappyRich
About music, I basically made? a Celtic (Irish) music mix by cutting out and combining some parts of the songs.
The artists (of full, unedited tracks) are: ” Gaelic Storm ” (Thirsty Work, Death Ride To Durango, The Mechanical Bull), ” Celtic Woman ” (The Butterfly, The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun) and ” The Chieftains ” (Treasure Cave, from the album ”Film Cuts”).
Because of this, I listen to Louis Armstrong – What a wonderful World (:
Wow! wonderful! this movie and musics.
What name is this music of first part? Good for me. nice.
Thanks.
Thats so great!!!! But only what we see! The fuckin flute music sucks! Its so nervous, some good ol trip hop would do it far better. .
