This guide covers small field allegedly Colorado, Utah north to the Canadian border, but most of the animals shown as wide in the Pacific Northwest, western Canada and California, then this book is useful for most of western North America. There are two pages for each of the 70 mammals, birds and reptiles / amphibians. Each animal has a small selection map, general plan, the design of its droppings, large sketch of the face and fingerprints back and left a sketch of the model by several tracks. The last one I found particularly useful, as it often each track is not too clear, especially in dry sand or snow, but the model followed by a positive identification. This lightweight, pocket size, it is convenient to carry. Highly recommended for hikers, campers and nature lovers. Rating: 5.5
