Earth Drum – Thunder Dreamer – David & Steve Gordon
By Mike on May 5, 2010, 7:19 pm
From the DVD of Earth Drum by David & Steve Gordon – imagery of the great forests and peaks of the Rocky Mountains – Trance beats with Taos Log Drums, Incan Pan Flutes, electric and acoustic guitars, world percussion, atmospheric syntesizers and sounds of nature. Video filmed, produced and edited by: HDenvironments.com. For more information, visit: www.SequoiaRecords.com Thunder Dreamer In the distance are gathering clouds born upon the rocky mountain heights. “I call upon the magician, the herald, the thunder dreamer. Welcome conjurer and grace us with laughter and joy. Bring us blessings of rain and abundance for the good of all.” Studio notes To create the feeling of the archetype of the magician, the sacred trickster, we used a Lakota chant with Incan pan pipes, acoustic guitar, Native and African drums and electric slide guitar. The images of the Rocky Mountains help us to remember that the blessings of the rain begin with an earth that is pure and in balance. Thank you for watching. May all peoples of the Earth walk in Peace.
Thunder speaks to my heart… and has been coming to me until I listen now… and I am one with that Energy… and I am grateful… and I am at peace in a Thunder storm… Lightening and Thunder speak to my heart, my soul… and we are one… and I am grateful.
Estonko Steve and Gordon, sorry that i have affended you, but i see things that Europeans have done to America and i don’t like it, even to day things are not right, indian people are still being treated unfairly, unjustly, and robbed time and time again by the goverment, does that clear it up any, your music and songs i love, keep well my brothers, vnvhe Osceola.
if you gonna say white man know that you are being very general and it too hurts me for i may be white but not the one whos caused pain to myself whole for any sorta satisfaction! please if your gonna point BE SPECIFIC so we may come to a conclusion of existence

Wise posting indeed. I agree with you.
Many white people see a mountain as something to conquer, something to climb, i see a mountain as a spiritual and sacred place,i see the buffalo as a symbol of a time when things were good for the people,a time of plenty,i see resilience against extermination,i see they have come back from the slaughter carried out by the white man to starve us, there still here so are we old government policies may come back to haunt them vnvhe Osceola.
