  1. We see our first trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and I ordered two books, this guide and Rocky Mountain National Park is Dayhiker. I found the guide Dayhiker be useful for our first visit. This book has excellent maps and technical information for climbing. I’m looking for a basic approach. Destinations Chart – Appendix B – is a great compilation of views, departure and arrival, mileage and difficulty, but I found the notes in the other book better for my purposes. Rating: 5.1

  2. Unbelievable. There are no words, compared to the book or describe the author. To limit the writings of the author in this post would be a crime. So simply, and, at best, I’m in love with Lisa Foster. Rating: 5.5

  3. John Obrien says:

The author does a good job of listing almost every ride available. I liked the story behind the writing of this book, but I found the hike descriptions too short to be useful. Eventually I bought a National Geographic Maps Trails / topo Illustrated “Rocky Mountains” and “Indian Peaks” in a hiking store, and Jerome Malitz’s (Rock Mountain Park Day Hikers Guide) called. I finished reading this book after hiking all day, and a plan document for the hikes in the coming days. Rating: 5.1

  4. H. Kinney says:

Absolutely useless. Poorly organized and has no meaning. No, I do not repeat the recommendations. I’m sorry I bought. Author seems to be most proud of in each direction of travel, if it had to organize this book. Rating: 5.2

This guide our group saved countless hours of research to find the best and most efficient use of our limited time during a hike on our trip. One of the best guides on the subject. Rating: 5.5
