    It’s an automatic blowdown of the air reservoirs to remove the water that accumulates there. It’s to prevent the air tanks from rusting, and to remove water from the air so it doesn’t freeze the brakes in the winter.

    At 09:00 you can hear what sounds like compressed air being given off in bursts – I’ve heard it before, but don’t actually know what this noise is. Anyone care to tell?

    Yes, the footage was shot during the summer of 2001.
    Years before the 10 mile (Park Bridge) was started.
